    MoCoSIN Organization

MoCoSIN is largely the result of grants from the National Science Foundation, which expanded the existing Computer Science network to include scientific instrumentation, including a gas chromatograph (GC) and a gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer (GC-MS).

As of Fall 2000, MoCoSIN consists of PCs, Macs, Suns, printers, and other equipment. One file server provides most network services. A powerful compute server is also available, and is used primarily for computational chemistry and signal processing.
