Question 1. Using grammatically correct English sentences, explain how, in Experiment 5B, we initially separated the molecules of the solid mixture from each other so that they could react independently with extracting solvents.




Question 2.
From your experience, how is the solubility of a solid affected by changes in temperature of the solvent?  Consider how much sugar dissolves in hot tea vs. iced tea.



Question 3. What would you expect would be the result if you created a saturated solution of sodium chloride in hot water and then cooled it to 1˚C.  Provide your warrant.
